How to use I2P in a VirtualBox VM?

Hi, hopefully this is the right board.

Has anyone used I2P in a NAT VirtualBox VM? I always get firewalled inside of the VM... If someone could tell me how to use I2P in a VM without getting firewalled, I would be very happy.
