Backup I2P router with i2psnark unfinished downloads

Hello friends,
I need a linux backup of my I2P router with i2psnark having unfinished downloads.
I already know that unfinished files have holes in them aka preloaded space.
How do I care for those when using compressing linux tools?
Have you already successfully backuped and restored your I2P router with i2psnark running at linux and if so, how?
