With F10 you get to MuWire's menu.

Addendum: This was not meant as a joke. Without a mouse, using MuWire is no walk in the park, the Tab key got stuck on some menu items and I was unable to close open sub-windows, which meant I could no longer get to the main window. If you know other keyboard shortcuts, then you may add them here on your own.

I'm afraid there aren't any proper keyboard shortcuts at the moment. I'm thinking about adding some but need to figure out exactly what makes sense.

I guess there should be shortcuts at least for:

* focusing on the search box ( "Ctrl-F" maybe?)
* moving between top-level tabs
* moving between search tabs
* starting a download (probably this will be just the "Enter" key)

I've never worked with mnemonics before except for the setup wizard so I can't promise when this is going to happen.

Ok, there is no hurry and most users probably have a working mouse connected. For shortcuts, besides "Ctrl-F", there are also the other keyboard shortcuts that are called "general actions" in KDE. These shortcuts look to me like a takeover from Windows and will therefore be more familiar than those of Emacs or Vim, for example. Also keyboard shortcuts like in Firefox are a good idea, the programs are distantly related ;-)

In one of the next versions a separate keyboard shortcut for closing the windows would be good, which works independently of the respective window manager (in KDE e.g. Alt-F4). Also because the window title bar lacks the menu that usually pops up when clicking the right mouse button when using the mouse.

I added some keyboard shortcuts in 0.8.12-beta6 which you can get from clearnet at https://muwire.com/beta.html or from my MuWire feed. If you are running beta3 or later MuWire should fetch an appropriate update package for you the next time it checks for updates.

Here are the shortcuts:

Ctrl-F will move the focus to the search box. This works anywhere in the application.
Alt-1 to Alt-8 switches between the top-level tabs. Alt-1 is Search, Alt-2 is Downloads, etc.
Ctrl-PageUp and Ctrl-PageDown switch between search tabs. This only works if the tab is in focus.
Ctrl-W closes the current search/browse tab
Ctrl-R repeats the current search
Enter - downloads the selected results or collection items.

I realize there is a lot more that can be done to make keyboard operation easier, so if you have any specific ideas please let me know.
