updater weirdness on OSX
Just upgraded to 0.9.36 from source. Used "ant updater" with javac.version set to the destination platform. Build system is 32-bit Armbian 5.3.8 Stretch with OpenJDK 10.0.1. i2pupdate.zip produced works fine on Linux with OpenJDK 9.0.4 and 10.0.1. On latest OSX with Java 10.0.2 I get after...

Re: Bandbreite
Stimmt schon, nützt aber nicht viel, wenn man eine Fritzbox hat. Schau hier:

Re: Post on r/privacy - Tor vs I2P Review
As far as Java is discussed: Java has proven to be a good choice for producing stable cross-platform software, besides i2p JDownloader is a good example. Trying a large cross-platform project using C or C++ often results in frequent crashes. See current versions of Tor Browser and qBitTorrent, or ea...

Re: Adventures with OpenJDK 10
I have finished testing. Finally got a complete build for JDK 10. Totally crashes the machine within hours or days under higher i2p load. Reboots with no clue in any log. JDK 9 or 10 do not build with clang toolchain. Shenandoah does not build with JDK 9 nor 10 any toolchain. All build errors are co...

Adventures with OpenJDK 10
First impressions after tests on ARM 32 (armbian stretch). Does not build completely. "make" works, "make images" does not. Can´t believe they did not catch a "javac --release 8" before a GA release. Sufficient binaries produced to compile and run i2p. "ant updater...

Re: Choosing and configuring router hardware
If you are willing to spend some time on configuring a professional grade router, I would like to point out that the $49 EdgeRouter-X has much more power than you will ever need for i2p. It is like a big Cisco machine in a small box. Even this entry model sports a hardware data pump for NAT and you ...

Re: 0.9.33 Snark traffic "vanishes"
Nice hint, helps with routers not yet integrated well. In my case with 3 snark instances running in one JVM the number of connected peers per instance varies by more than a factor of two within a short time. Peers may be connected for hours to one or two instances and are at the same time unable to ...

Re: 0.9.33 Snark traffic "vanishes"
I took into account echelons advice and have now removed all connection and bandwidth limits, except participating tunnels. I want to seed torrents fast. This is why I want as many peers connected as possible so Snark can determine the optimum pieces to distribute. Open trackers compete with peers f...

Choosing and configuring router hardware
This is for you if you run i2p at your home and want maximum throughput from your machine. Echelon pointed out that there is is a default limit of 700 TCP connections in order not to overload popular SoHo internet routers. That is important to consider because I found limiting TCP gives a crippling ...
