Re: Why not to use I2P
Yeah that is the idea. In combination they should work with and enhance eachother. They're supposed to be standalone too, you shouldn't need to run a chat or a feedreader if you don't want to. BRB should be generally useful as an IRC client even without the IRC server component running. Running a bl...

Re: Why not to use I2P
You have a point, especially when you compare the onboarding problem and convenience foods. In fact, our opinions line up on almost everything except perhaps for the utility of this particular forum at this particular time. Once we have Microwave-ready, Instant-Pot I2P then this forum makes a lot mo...

Re: thread for noobs?
The subreddit is usually the best place for noob threads because people tend to "already be there" so to speak, and because I get mobile notifications from Reddit, whereas I check this forum daily but haven't been able to get email notifications to work yet so things slip through the crack...

Re: Why not to use I2P
Well this is embarassing. Somewhere between the browser and this forum I haven't actually been logging in, and none of my posts for the past several months have been showing up. That's a lot of effort down the drain that I didn't notice until now. I guess I do really need to spend more time here now...

Re: Config i2p to open console w/i2p browser?
There's a file called router.config that is in ~/.i2p/router.config, In that file, create a line: `routerconsole.browser=palemoon` or whatever you want your I2P browser to be.

I2P 1.5.0 Released!
Yes, that's right, after 9 years of 0.9.x releases, we are going straight from 0.9.50 to 1.5.0. This does not signify a major API change, or a claim that development is now complete. It is simply a recognition of almost 20 years of work to provide anonymity and security for our users. This release f...

0.9.49 Release - New, *Much Faster* ECIES-X25519 Encryption for Routers, WebSeeds in I2PSnark and More
From zzz's blog post: 0.9.49 continues the work to make I2P faster and more secure. We have several improvements and fixes for the SSU (UDP) transport that should result in faster speeds. This release also starts the migration to new, faster ECIES-X25519 encryption for routers. (Destinations have be...

Re: Please help test I2P for Android 0.9.47-1
I don't know who else noticed, but *also* about:config is removed in new mobile Firefoxes(The Fenix based ones). That pushes an already irritating browser configuration process firmly into the "Impossible" territory. At least for about:config based setups. Not having a Firefox for Android ...
