Re: Custom email server
I want to hide my IP over the clearnet, and I can only do that through a gateway, which I know susimail has, but I forget the actual clearnet URL for... :P If i understand you correctly, the internet-to-i2p mail gateway is i2pmail.org. As far as i know, it is only used for Postman's email service. ...

Seeding is choking for some reason
An i2psnark instance (from regular i2p java, ver 2.5.2) is seeding some torrents. Currently, only 1 torrent is being downloaded from me, and only by one peer (as in: my client is actively uploading 1 torrent to 1 peer). That torrent has some other seeders too. Yet for some reason the i2psnark, for s...

Re: Custom email server
I think they mean clearnet (aka the regular internet) Regarding receiving from other i2p users: i believe that with current internet protocols (like smtp) that could be possible, but would require writing some programs that would interface with I2P sam bridge, so that they could talk to each other. ...

Re: The Sovereign Project - Call for assistance
How is this all different from using SSH key-based auth? It also uses cryptography to verify identity/authenticate.

Re: Anxiety about clearnet leakage while browsing eepsites
It doesn't really matter what you use. You could even use a VM if you wanted to (it would be more secure). Just install any distro inside the VM/container (henceforth called guest), install the browser, and tell firewall (on the host, not guest, because host firewall cannot be controlled from guest)...

Re: Anxiety about clearnet leakage while browsing eepsites
I cut this problem at the root: i run browser in a container (am not using qubes os or anything like that, at least not yet), and use firewall to block all connections from that container except to the necessary i2p router ports. I know it might be inconvenient but it's still a solution to a problem...

Re: Inconvenience with temporary and permanent client tunnel settings
Hi Where did you see the limit of 3 (on permanent settings)? I see, in java i2p, i can set it up to 16 right here: http://localhost:7657/i2ptunnelmgr , then select the necessary tunnel, and open the Tunnel Quantity Options. Although this has its own problem: i can't set different amounts for outboun...

Re: i2p speed & tunnels quantities
I'd say that's a bit too much. (especially "backup tunnels" but i personally don't use them, not sure if they have any big benefit) Have you tried less tunnels? Have you tried comparing them? For exploratory tunnels, the defaults should be left as is, I think. (they are not used for active...

Re: I2P GitLab Assistance
Hi. I'm not i2p official, but I believe this topic may help: http://i2pforum.i2p/viewtopic.php?p=2781 Basically, I2P gitlab is, it seems, mostly for the i2p project itself. So, either you contact eyedeekay to get i2p gitlab account, or find another hosting in i2p. Speaking of git hosting, there are ...

Re: Auto Logout ~5 Minutes?
I think admins should just try to modify the server so that when it sends the cookies, it does not set the domain on them (and probably not set the 'secure' setting either)
Browser discards cookies not meant for i2pforum.i2p. i think.
