thanks for linking that, had a feeling something wasn't right
not strictly related to that but last time i tested got this:

using i2p+ and 3 hops, top is 3/3 tunnels, bottom is 6 down / 12 up. basically adding more than the standard 3 didn't seem to do anything for me, might've made it worse. i tried a couple other variations, but 3/3 and 4/4 seemed the best. also seems like the throughput per tunnel is way higher now than i thought, and snark will be in the 1MBs ballpark even with only 3/3. snark/bigly won't scale linearly with tunnel additions but they do actually benefit from it
